About

Margaret A. McCausland
Margaret A. McCausland
Margaret A. "Peggy" McCausland obtained her law degree cum laude from Villanova University School of Law in 1987. In addition to other activities, she served as a staff member, and then Business Editor, of the Law Review.

Peggy began her career as an associate in the litigation group at Dechert, where she practiced until 1993. At that time, she moved to Blank Rome LLP, where she focused exclusively on employment and labor law, representing management. Peggy was a partner at Blank Rome from 1997 until leaving in 2006 to open The Law Offices of Margaret A. McCausland LLC. She has served as adjunct faculty at Villanova Law School since 1999.

Prior to attending law school, Peggy obtained her B.S. from St. Joseph's University College summa cum laude, which she attended for seven years at night. The traits which enabled Peggy to successfully pursue her education while working full time and raising a family are the traits that she brings to the work she performs on behalf of her clients - sound judgment, perspective, persistence and the ability to prioritize.

Peggy's legal ability has been recognized by her peers in the legal profession who have voted her a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer each year since its inception. She has also been recognized by members of the business community - in 2001, she was selected as one of 25 Women of Distinction by the Philadelphia Business Journal and the National Association of Women Business Owners.

In addition to her many professional and community activities, Peggy works pro bono as a child advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children. Her efforts were recognized in 2004 by the Philadelphia Bar Foundation when she became the second recipient of its Citizens Pro Bono Award, which was created to recognize individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to ensuring the provision of legal services to those in need.
